![]() ![]() I won’t reiterate them as I highly recommend giving his article a read. Beckett outlines quite a few ways of knowing if you’re being called. He has written countless articles on what it means to worship a non-traditional god/goddess and was an extremely helpful resource to learn from.īeckett wrote an article back in 2018 called “How Do I know If A God Is Calling Me?” Beckett is a self-identified pagan and druid. In my research, I came across a blog run by a man named John Beckett on Patheos. At first, I thought I was the only person who had ever experienced anything like this. I didn’t know anything like this could happen, or what Aphrodite wanted from me. It was a very overwhelming and incredulous moment. When I was first called, I had no idea what was going on. The term “called” refers to when a god or goddess instigates an inexplicable and powerful event with or to a person in order to either initiate them as a worshipper or to use them to carry out their will, (or both!) I decided to write this article to address what I mean by that statement, and how it may feel to be “called” by Aphrodite. To someone who is just starting out on this very beautiful yet very fickle path, this likely makes zero sense. ![]() I’ve mentioned multiple times that Aphrodite “calls” on people, or that you can be called by her. ![]()
